Obsidian

About this project

Obsidian is an 18,000-square-foot home made of weathered wood, stone, and other indigenous materials, set on a rugged 5-acre lot in Big Sky’s Yellowstone Club.

The architecture features hand-cleft stone and roughhewn timber, while the interiors reflect a bold yet elegant style, resonating with the adventurous family’s passion for outdoor living and connection to nature. Key highlights include luxurious Western décor elements such as antler chandeliers, a handcrafted walnut dining table, and a striking kitchen island made from bluestone.

The home’s design emphasizes a harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, using materials like Calacatta gold marble and hand-cast glass to mirror the natural landscape.
