Cowboy Heaven

About this project

Sitting at an elevation of just over 8,300 feet, Cowboy Heaven is a luxurious ski retreat at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana, crafted to cater to the family’s spontaneous nature and love for shared experiences.

Inspired by the breathtaking views of the Spanish Peaks and Madison Valley, the 10,500-square-foot home features a roofline that climbs and descends to integrate with the rugged surroundings seamlessly. With accommodation for up to 21 guests, the ski-in, ski-out residence provides a sanctuary for relaxation and recreation after days spent on the slopes.

What makes it special

The kitchen’s lava-stone-topped circular island, where pizzas are prepared for the oven, is integrated into a bespoke blue-oiled ash pantry.
